CHAPTER3

I get to know the little prince little by little.

나는 어린왕자에 대해서 조금씩 알게 됐다.

When he sees my airplane, he asks me, "What is that?"

"That is an airplane. It can fly."

어린왕자는 내 비행기를 보면서 나한테 물었다.

이건 뭐에요?

그건 비행기야, 날수 있지.

He cries out, "What! You drop down from the sky?"

I answer softly, "Yes."

"Oh! That is funny! Ha ha!"

어린왕자는 소리쳤다. 네?당신도 하늘에서 떨어졌나요?

나는 부드럽게 답했다. 응.

오! 그것참 재밌네요.

"So, you come from the sky too!"

"Where is your star?"

아저씨도 하늘에서 떨어졌군요, 무슨별에서 왔어요?

I ask him quickly with surprise.

"Do you come from another star?"

But he does not answer.

나는 놀라서 어린왕자에게 물었다. "너는 다른 별에서 왔니?"

He looks at the plane and says.

"You cannot come from very far away."

어린왕자는 비행기를 보며 말했다.

"아저씨는 멀리서 올 수 없었네요."

After a time, he carefully takes the drawing of the sheep out of his pocket.

몇시간이 지난 뒤 그는 조심스럽게 자기의 주머니에서 양 그림을 꺼냈다.

I ask many questions,"Where do you come from? where do you want to take your sheep?"

He says, "This box is the sheep's house at night."

나는 많은 질문을 했다. "어디서 온 거니? 양을 어디로 데려가고 싶은 거니?"

어린왕자는 말했다. "밤에는 이 상자가 양의 집이에요."

"If you are good, I can give you a rope to tie the sheep."

"Tie the sheep? That is strange."

"But if you don't tie the sheep, he goes away."

"It is okay because my star is so small."

"만약 너만 좋다면 양을 묶어 둘 로프를 줄 수 있어."

"양을 묶는 다구요? 그것 참 이상하네요."

"양을 안 묶으면 양은 가버릴거야."

"괜찮아요. 왜냐하면 내가 사는 별은 엄청 작거든요."
